MY STORY
My name is Leo, and I’m the owner and craftsman behind Kash & Hide (formerly known as Humble Lion Leather). I currently serve in the U.S. Military but wanted to pursue a hobby that could be operated globally. While everything crafted is American-made, my location varies due to my assignments. Post-retirement, I plan to grow the business with my families help. My family has been incredibly supportive of this dream, and I am grateful to have them by my side.
Kash & Hide was created out of my appreciation for a timeless craft and the process of handmade leather goods that are as practical as they are beautiful. My grandfather was an innovative craftsman, and as a child, I watched him create all kinds of amazing things. From him, I discovered my love for crafting. I am thankful for the work ethic and values he instilled in me. I believe hard work is the foundation of any dream, and staying humble while pursuing that dream, is key.
In 2020, I stepped away from video games and began searching for a different creative outlet. I was looking for a new wallet and discovered the leather community on Instagram. Amazed by the attention to detail and artisanal designs, I knew this was it. After extensive research, I crafted my first leather wallet. From that moment on, I became focused and passionate about crafting leather goods. In 2021, I established the brand, and it has been a blessing and an ongoing inspiration. I am thankful for all the support, feedback, and continuous compliments—it truly means a lot. I hope you get as much joy from these pieces as I do from crafting each one.
